Dean Adams is an evolutionary biologist and biostatistician. His work advances analytical theory in three inter-related conceptual disciplines: morphometrics, phylogenetic comparative biology, and biostatistics. He is a world-leader in geometric morphometrics, the statistical analysis of shape. He has authored over 160 publications, is the primary author and developer of the popular software R-package geomorph, a co-author/co-developer of the R-package RRPP, and a co-developer of the package MetaWin. He is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), a recipient of the Rohlf Medal for excellence in morphometrics, a Senior Fulbright Fellow, and an NSF CAREER Award recipient.
Teaches: Vertebrate biology, Macroevolution, Biostatistics, Geometric Morphometrics Workshops.
